| Summary | The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all ATR--GIE Avions de Transport R[eacute]gional Model ATR42-200, - 300, and -320 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a report of an occurrence of a flap asymmetry detector and flap interconnection shaft having worn splines and not engaging mechanically. This proposed AD would require a special detailed inspection (SDI) of the affected flap asymmetry detection mechanism, and applicable corrective actions. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. |
