| Summary | This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of sulfonic acids, C14-16-alkane hydroxy and C14-16-alkene, sodium salts (CAS Reg. No. 68439-57-6) when used as an inert ingredient (surfactant) in antimicrobial formulations applied to food-contact surfaces in public eating places, dairy-processing equipment, and food-processing equipment and utensils under 40 CFR 180.940(a), at a maximum concentration of 1% in pesticide formulations. Ramboll US Consulting Inc., on behalf of Ecolab Inc., submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), requesting establishment of an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance.
